J.O.Y CLUB

(Just Old Younguns)

On June 30, 1977, the pastor, the youth of the church and some members of Seneca’s Golden Age Club organized a senior citizen’s club.  This club was named “Just Old Younguns” (JOY).  The club is still very active today.  It meets the second Tuesday of each month and enjoys a covered dish lunch after the meeting.  Other activities include attending Senior Adult Conferences, shopping trips to Tanger Outlets in Commerce, Ga., trips to Helen, Ga., and to Long Creek for apples and syrup in the fall.   Many more activities are being planned for the coming months.

WMU

Women on Missions I: Wilma Davis & Cathlene Creswell

Women on Missions II: Lynn Owen, Janet Creswell, & Priscilla Wyatt

Woman's Missionary Union was established in 1888, with it's home office in Birmingham, Ala. It is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention.  In 1912, one year after Earle's Grove Baptist Church was established, a WMU was organized.  WMU seeks to equip adults, youth, children and preschoolers with missions education to become radically involved in mission work for  God. WMU is a nonprofit organization that offers  missions resources including conferences, ministry ideas and models, volunteer opportunities, curriculum for age-level organizations, leadership training, books and more.  The program is still very active today and has a place for everyone of all ages.

Brotherhood

Director: Caleb Owen, Asst. Tex Robinson

The Brotherhood is made up of adult men who meet on regular missions night, which is the first Wednesday night following the first Sunday of each month.  It's purpose is to build up the body of Christ by strengthening men through fellowship, missions, devotions and prayer.  The group takes on several projects each year to help the elderly and families in need.
